about

This was a demo for what was going to be the first track of the much fabled The Pineapple Army album Shoulda Been an Album. The album had been tracked multiple times following It's Happening but was lost every time, which is probably for the best because they didn't sound that good to begin with. This track was scrapped early on in lieu of a better opening song but I've always wanted to open an album with a parody of the story at the beginning of Bright Eyes' I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning.

The album would have been yet another collection of rerecorded songs from The Month Project which is where the song "This Ones for Alton Brown" originally came from.

Well, after all these years, you can finally hear it. It's... alright... I guess.

lyrics

Find all the families
Tell all the towns
Cause this ones for Alton Brown

Hide all the napkins
Light up the mic
Cause he'll party all damn night

Cause he doesn't stop the motion
'Til the sunlight makes the stars go home
And somehow finds a way to make Chuck Norris
Wish he was never born

The Pineapple Army Michigan

I've always been terrible at writing biographies so why stop now. We're probably a band from Michigan. We don't adhere to a specific genre which causes mild schizophrenia in certain individuals. We will write commercial jingles for the right price and we do NOT play at weddings, only funerals. ... more
