about

If I'm getting all of this correct: Judge Mathis was a metal pipe that Brigid gifted to me. I'm sure they're still around but a lot of head shops had metal pipes that you could screw apart and back together and basically erect your own pipe in whatever shape you could imagine provided you had the right pieces. I had my own, small metal pipe named Mothra because of the vibrantly colored beads that adorned it. When I combined the two, naturally, it became Judge Mothra. Eventually I added so many other pieces to it that it became unwieldy and I eventually went back to the basic build of Judge Mothra but now called it The Zombie of Judge Mothra.

This song is about hanging out with Doc Dave, Tom and another friend, Mel and having the incredibly high perspective of watching how Doc Dave worked and how he pathologically had to one-up stories. It was on the original June: "Have You Seen This Place?!" and I liked it so much that I redid it which I was surprised I could do because once I record songs, that's pretty much it. I never play them again and eventually forget them.

lyrics

We're going to drink a lot of cranberry juice tonight
And I don't care who knows
This is dangerous treading
The tinted winds are too lazy to blow
Out the stomach curdles
And take the criticism
Fly the feeling skyward
By the way, it's over

You're not going home
You're never alone
You're not going home
You're never alone

Back to the path, you're dying
Damn, you're a fast talker
I still can't feel my fucking hands
I'm not as strong as I thought
Oh no, you're going to talk in art and cliches
I can only explain one thing at a time
Digging him up, bringing him back to life
An hour later you pretend you're soft
But you're hard

Note to self:
You're lying to yourself

about

The Pineapple Army Michigan

I've always been terrible at writing biographies so why stop now. We're probably a band from Michigan. We don't adhere to a specific genre which causes mild schizophrenia in certain individuals. We will write commercial jingles for the right price and we do NOT play at weddings, only funerals. ... more
