about

Kanye West has a song called "Stronger" that always pissed me off because I like the Daft Punk song so much and I felt he was ruining it, as he did, even though I can now admit he's a great producer and a horrible human being. I've had a weird relationship with how I've felt about him but that's not really what this song is about at all.

While doing KcL songs, I made a song called Strongerer which criticized him for ruining a song that I liked and years later I wrote this song which referenced Kanye again so I called it "Strongererer". It was going to be an It's Happening song but it, along with "Pickled, Beguiled (Tickled Belial) were cut pretty early on because they weren't fully realized and were kind of... not great.

lyrics

If I'm here, there's something wrong
I only show up when the pressures on
And otherwise, I'm worlds apart

Since I'm here, there's something wrong
Looks like all the problems in the world are gone
And I have to do something about it

All I have is a guitar, an okay voice and a broken heart
And enough cliche to power a country

Since I'm here, I might as well
I don't get used to how the pressure builds
And there's nothing like a good, old fashioned hero

I put myself at risk but it's for good
I'll organize a team like Kanye would
And we will be invincible until the ratings drop
There's no more we can do, it's time to harvest what we've got
We sell ourselves to make us seem much stronger than we are
We'll make our music videos like we were superstars
When Kanye West produces our next album, that will rule
Look for it next Summer in your local high schools

Oh, one day I'll do everything
Until then I won't do anything
It's not like anything is expected of me anyway

Cause now I'm here, so have no fear
I am no aquatic queer
I am the Mercury in Farrokh Bulsara's dreams

about

The Pineapple Army Michigan

I've always been terrible at writing biographies so why stop now. We're probably a band from Michigan. We don't adhere to a specific genre which causes mild schizophrenia in certain individuals. We will write commercial jingles for the right price and we do NOT play at weddings, only funerals. ... more
