December was a time of far more collaboration between myself and Alex and often included a revolving yet familiar cast of other players. The most common method of recording would be me bringing nameless beats to Alex's and then recording vocals and ancillary instrumentation to them...like the really great maraca you hear on this song.

This particular song is me repurposing a vague Happy Birthday sounding beat into a song about The Pineapple Army, hence the title. The album December: We Never Get Old had a full 31 tracks and my birthday is December 13th so obviously this was the 13th track.
